PUDDING DAY: PART STAND UP COMEDY, PART SIT DOWN TRAGEDY

..with love and body fluids in the cracks in between.

Location: The Dark Room 2263 Mission St San Francisco, CA

Pudding Day is a reverently irreverent one boi show about the life Kelli Dunham shared with the woman she call her Queen, bad ass burlesque diva and activist Heather MacAllister aka RevaLucian. It traces the development of a freaky, epic romance in the usual way, with sarcasm and occasional lapses into a Snoopy Dance.

A reception/open mic will take place after the show so that the Bay Area community can share some of their memories of Heather and her legacy.

Partial proceeds from the San Francisco performance of Pudding Day will go to support V Kingsley’s blog on alotoflife.com. V Kingsley is a long term survivor of both Follicular Lymphoma and a rare and terminal allergic reaction to the cancer itself.

Pudding Day is coming to San Francisco

Pudding Day is coming to San Francisco for ONE NIGHT ONLY. Thanks to the generous folks at the Dark Room, we’ll be doing a sliding scale ($7-$15 bucks) show, followed by a reception for folks to share their memories about Heather and what her legacy has meant. The show will be Friday August, 14th @ 8.30 pm. Tickets will be on sale through brownpapertickets.com within a few days.

Pudding Day is my irreverent work in progress about the life I shared with the woman I called “my Queen,” burlesque diva and activist Heather MacAllister.

Pudding Day is a one boi show that traces the development of an epic romance in the usual way, with sarcasm, juggling and possibly even balloon animals.

Excerpts from Pudding Day have been performed as part of the 2008 Poly Pride Weekend, WYWIWYG Blogging Series, Vlove, and Qliterati.

Bluestockings Bookstore, 172 Allen Street between Stanton and Rivington. F train to 2nd Ave. This event is free, but donations for Bluestockings (an awesome all volunteer radical collective bookstore and fair trade café) are encouraged
